In the final episode of Season 2, Lady Mariéme spoke to Tolullah Oni, a public health physician-scientist and urban epidemiologist and a young global leader from the World Economic Forum.
Oni won numerous awards. She is also an Honorary Associate Professor in Public Health at the University of Cape Town, where she leads the Research Initiative for Cities Health and Equity (RICHE).
Tolullah and Lady Mariéme discussed the power of curiosity and how to get more girls into STEM subjects.
She aims to promote science and research as critical drivers of development in Africa through a coordinated approach between science, policy, and society role players, to identify creative strategies to address complex population health and broader societal challenges.
