In this week’s episode, Lady Mariéme Jamme invited Mariah Levin, the Head of the Forum of Young Global Leaders (Foundation of the World Economic Forum).
They both met years ago in China when Mariah joined to lead and support the young global leader’s community. At the age of 14, Mariah understood that the world was not fair. Lady Marieme said: “She felt safe in her hands. As a young global leader, I knew that she would listen to my concerns, to what I wanted to get out of the community without bringing judgement or prejudice. ”If you don’t know the #YLGcommunity, they are 1,400 members and alumni of 120 nationalities. They are innovators, entrepreneurs, technology pioneers, educators, activists, artists, journalists, and more. They discussed the Power of the community, working with her beautiful team and colleagues and learning how to pivot quickly from offline to online through challenging times. Let’s not forget that 124 million children worldwide are out of school, and 250 million are not learning basic skills due to poor quality education.
