In Conversation with Lin Kobayashi: The Power of Paying it Forward and Planting Seeds of Hope

This week, Lady Mariéme Jamme’s guest is Japanese Lin Kobayashi School Founder and Chair of the Board UWC ISAK Japan.

After working for the United Nations, she dedicated her life to giving young people an opportunity through scholarship and education.
Kobayashi believes that educating a society’s lower class is the most effective way to democratize and change a nation.

She said a leader does not necessarily have to be a politician or an entrepreneur. Lady Mariéme and Lin are both young global leaders of the World Economic Forum and judges of the Prestigious Global Teacher Prize.

They shared the power of planting seeds of hope in young people’s lives, investing their future, and making education systems better for all, not just for the few. Jamme profoundly believes that education offers young girls and boys the future they deserve.
