In this 75th Anniversary of the United Nations and 5th year since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals, Lady Mariéme Jamme is joined by a special guest this week. Mama Amina Mohammed as she calls her. She is the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, a mother to all of us, an African sister, a friend, and a grandmother.
Jamme said that behind every title, there is a human being.
Both met and spent time together three years ago when Lady Mariéme was nominated as a Unicef and Bill and Melinda Gates Goalkeeper in 2017. She recalls her encouragement, kindness, love, and empathy when nobody was there for her.
Mohammed held her hand so tight before she went to pick up her award from Former Unilever CEO Paul Pollman.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030. Find out more here.
