Lady Mariéme Jamme caught up with Oulimata Sarr from Senegal where they both came from but with different childhood paths.
She’s currently leading Women Economic Empowerment issues in West Africa and Central Africa for UN women as their Regional Director.
Oulimata is a change agent in Africa. A well-loved and respected leader. She has shown leadership in gender space through pushing for policy change and calling for the “coalition of the willing”. Sarr also talks about her upbringing, the opportunity she has to have a good education. As an African, she learnt to use her influence to share knowledge, connect agencies and mentor women so they can become economically independent in Africa and beyond.
