IamtheCODE is the first African-led global movement to mobilize governments, the private sector, philanthropic foundations, investors and civil society to advance STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship and Design) education. Its goal is to mobilize these groups to invest in future technologies that can drive sustainable development for women and girls in marginalized communities. We aim to enable 1 million young women and girls’ coders by 2030

The Role

The Program Coordinator will oversee the successful implementation of the iamtheCODE Girls Coding Program in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The individual will ensure that all program activities are executed efficiently, meet desired outcomes, and align with iamtheCODE’s mission to empower one million girls through digital education.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management
  2. Stakeholder Engagement
  3. Team Coordination and Supervision.
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation of data(M&E)
  5. Budget and Resource Management.
  6. Risk and Issue Management, Safeguarding.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

1. Education:

  • Degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in program coordination or management roles.
  • Experience working in underserved or refugee communities is highly desirable.

3. Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with digital education or coding programs is an advantage.
