IamtheCODE is the first African-led global movement to mobilize governments, the private sector, philanthropic foundations, investors and civil society to advance STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship and Design) education. Its goal is to mobilize these groups to invest in future technologies that can drive sustainable development for women and girls in marginalized communities. We aim to enable 1 million young women and girls’ coders by 2030

The Role

iamtheCODE seeks a dynamic and highly organized Administrative Assistant Coordinator to join our team. We are a global movement aiming to inspire and empower the next generation of women and girls to become coders and digital leaders. Our ideal candidate is a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. This role will support our team by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and email, and being helpful and cheerful in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Tasks:

  • Filing, generating reports and presentations, setting up meetings, and reordering supplies.

Scheduling Support:

  • Providing real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts.

Travel Arrangements:

  • Booking flights, cars, hotels, and restaurant reservations.

Communication:

  • Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
  • Maintaining polite and professional communication via phone, email, and mail.

Computer Tasks:

  • Generating reports, transcribing meeting minutes, creating presentations, and conducting research.

Proactive Support:

  • Anticipating the needs of others to ensure their seamless and positive experience.

Platform Management:

  • Enrolling candidates on our platform.

Organizational Tasks:

  • Organizing processes and documents.
  • Bookkeeping: maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
  • Managing diaries.
  • Posting on social media.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field.

Experience:

  • Prior administrative experience.

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, especially typing and searching.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Multilingualism may be preferred or required.
  • Desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others.
  • Efficiency and structured approach.
