Our Season Six continues “Decoding the UN Sustainable Development Goals”. We welcomed our phenomenal guest, Dr Ibilola Amao, a Nigerian Engineer principal consultant of Lonadek Services. When her late father – a trained civil engineer – discovered she loved science and math, he encouraged her to pursue studies in this area. She feels we need to increase the quality of the new graduates in Africa. She spoke to Lady Mariéme about her journey and her love of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and gave some great advice on how to master your skills and leave a legacy. Dr Amao believes we must aspire to be excellent citizens and never give ourselves excuses. She also called for Africans to collaborate, reach out and work hard. Lady Mariéme appreciates her and thinks she is a wise woman and an asset to our continent. She wishes African leaders listened more to women in Technology like Dr Ibilola Amao. Make sure you follow her on social media.
