Tidjane thinks investing in Africa today is the right thing to do as it is smart money. He also mentioned that Africa is the most profitable region in the world. It has extraordinary talent and businesses.

He wants to be remembered for the people he has enabled throughout his work.

Lady Mariéme acknowledged how Tidjane trusted him to organise the first event Google hosted in Africa. This pioneering event gave the first thousands Africans their Gmail addresses.

She said: “I was honoured to host the event and work with him to bring Google to Africa. I enjoyed our conversation and learnt a lot from this remarkable man.”
