Lady Mariéme acknowledged how Tidjane trusted him to organise the first event Google hosted in Africa. This pioneering event gave the first thousands Africans their Gmail addresses.
She said: “I was honoured to host the event and work with him to bring Google to Africa. I enjoyed our conversation and learnt a lot from this remarkable man.”
